Guadix in Spain in the middle of a barren landscape.
The dust got everywhere. The temperature was vicious and they were long shooting days, complicated by the fact that it was the local festival.
The camera had to be removed to the camera van each time it needed re-loading as we couldn't risk opening it outside.
This was the first time that I lit a shoot entirely with mirrors, my crew were running in circles constantly adjusting the mirrors and reflectors to compensate for the movement of the sun.
